Blumenthal Performing Arts Center is an Uptown center for the performing arts. Come Fly with Me – Carolina’s Aviation Museum Tour

Walking through the Carolinas Aviation Museum, you will learn all about historical aircrafts With their collection of equipment, gadgets, and helicopters there is so much to see. Using interactive displays for visitors of all ages, you can actually climb into the pilot’s sear of their F4 Phantom! Providing military, civil, commercial, and historical aircrafts, you can see so much of our development in the engineering of these machines. Some of the aircrafts include the Savoia Marchetti, the Grumman F-14D Tomcat, the D-558-1 Skystreak, and the CH-46C Sea Knight.
…And don’t miss out on their prized exhibit – US Airways Flight 1549 – which took off from LaGuardia airport for a flight to Charlotte and as a result of multiple bird strikes was forced to land on the Hudson river.
After leaving the museum, you will be taken to the best secret spot in the City to see actual planes that are coming into the Charlotte Douglas Airport.

The Billy Graham Library

The Billy Graham Library is a 40,000 square foot family friendly complex where guests will see the newly constructed library, the Graham Family home place, a bookstore, and café. Visitors will journey through history, from Billy Graham’s humble beginnings on the family dairy farm to beloved worldwide evangelist and one of the most respected men in history. The dairy-barn styled Library is home of state-of-the-art exhibits, multimedia displays, and films, all designated to appeal to casual visitors, spiritual seekers, researchers, historians, and schoolchildren. The library bookstore gives visitors the chance to shop for unique treasures in “Ruth’s Attic,” a boutique named for Graham’s late wife, Ruth. You may also relax on a wooden bench to take in the pastoral scenes Billy Graham enjoyed in his youth.
